Solution

The correct option is B

Equilibrium of water molecules across the membrane

Until the water molecule concentrations becomes equal on both sides the membrane.

The movement of materials across cell membranes is heavily influenced by both differences in the concentration of these various materials across the cell membrane. The concentration of water in a solution is inversely related to solute concentration – the greater the concentration of total solutes in the olution the lower the number of water molecules per unit volume of the solution. Hence, water tends to diffuse from more dilute areas to more concentrated areas.
