Answer :
i) Exons (E) -is a coding region of a gene that contains the information required to encode a protein.
ii) In eukaryotes, genes are made up of coding exons interspersed with non-coding introns.
iii) Introns ( I )- are non-coding sections of an RNA transcript, or the DNA encoding it, that are spliced out before the RNA molecule is translated into a protein.
iv) These introns are then removed to make a functioning messenger RNA (mRNA) that can be translated into a protein.
v) Therefore in polypeptide chain we only consider exons i.e 90 + 36 + 9 = 135.
So correct answer is option C. 135.
