Solution
The correct option is C 4 Glycolysis is a metabolic process in which one glucose molecule is converted into 2 puruvate molecules under aerobic condition. During the formation of 3-phosphoglyceric acid and pyruvic acids 2 ATP molecules are formed respectively. However, 2 molecules of ATP are utilized during conversion of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate to fructose-1,6-biphosphate. Hence, the end products of glycolysis are 2 ATP molecules, 2 pyruvic acid molecules and 2 NADH molecules.
