The number of chromatids in chromosomes:

  1. A chromatid refers to one of the two identical halves of a chromosome.
  2. After complete cell division, each chromosome contains two sister chromatids.
  3. Chromatids of each chromosome are known as sister chromatids of each other and chromatids of two different chromosomes are known as non-sister chromatids.
