The correct option is C 16
As per the problem, the cube is divided into 125 equal small cubes. That means, the cube is being cut into 5 slices horizontally and vertically resulting in 5x(5x5) smaller cubes.
Both the adjacent sides of red coloured face would be coloured. Therefore, all the corner cubes would be multi-coloured. Only, the middle cubes would have only red color. Hence, the correct answer would be 4 x 4 = 16.
