Solution
Ovulation:
The process of release of a matured egg from the ovaries.
After the egg is released it travels down to the fallopian tube, where it stays for about 12-14 hours.
In the fallopian tube the fertilization takes place.
The duration of the menstrual cycle varies among females, it could be 22 to 35 days.
The average duration of the menstrual cycle in a female is 28 days where she starts ovulating on the 14th day.
Based on this ovulation period, the most fertile days are the 12th, 13th, and 14th days.
For a female whose cycle duration is 35 days, ovulation takes place on the 21st day and the most fertile days are the 19th, 20th, and 21st days.
