Frozen embryo transfer:

  1. Most often after the retrieval of the egg, the embryos are frozen 5-7 days later.
  2. In some other events, from the time of onset of menstruation, this process takes place within 3-4 weeks.
  3. Frozen embryo transfer process starts at the end of the menstrual cycle, i.e., post periods.
  4. The normal ovulation process is suppressed by hormonal changes.
  5. Based on the progesterone commencement day and embryo development days the day of embryo transfer is decided.
  6. For example, after the beginning of the progesterone support, 5-day embryo transfer would take place on the 6th day.
