If the cells are haploid,they do not undergo meiosis . The cells produced by meiosis are called gametes.
Meiosis produces gametes it does not occur in gametes.gametes are formed at the end of meiosis.
The gametes are haploid.
Which means gametes have one se of chromosmes.
56 haploid cells are gametes them selves.
