A human female has approximately 4,00,000 follicles which are potential eggs. Out of these, only about 480 eggs are released during the reproductive years. During menstrual cycle, one egg is matured and released per cycle from the ovary. If in first month, the left ovary releases a potential egg then in the next month, the right ovary releases a potential egg. Hence, in absence of implantation of an embryo, 6 eggs are released per ovary yearly. Thus, the correct answer is option B.
