How many electrons are there in 1 coulomb of charge?
625 × 1016
We know that charge is quantized
i.e. Q = ne−
where Q = amount of charge
n = Number of electrons
e− = charge on 1 electron
∴ 1C=n×1.6×10–19C
11.6×10−19=n
Hence it takes 6.25×1018 electrons to make 1 C of charge!!! INDEED A HUGE NUMBER.
