we have to find the amount of Faraday which is required to generate one mole of magnesium from MgCl2.

we know,

MgCl2Mg2++2Cl

Mg2++2eMg

so, it is clear that one mole of magnesium is formed by two moles of electrons.

as 1 mole of electrons is equivalent to 1 Faraday of charge

so,two moles of electrons are equivalent to 2 Faradays of charge.

Therefore 2 Faradays are required to generate one gram atom of magnesium from MgCl2.
