Solution

The correct option is B

2

Molecular orbitals also follow Pauli Exclusion Principle, Aufbau principle and Hund's rule of Maximum Multiplicity like atomic orbitals do.

According to Pauli Exclusion Principle

"No two electrons in an atom can have the same set of four quantum number”

Or it can be stated as

"Only two electrons may exist in the same orbital and these electrons must have opposite spin”.

So, by using Pauli Exclusion Principle, we can say that maximum only 2 electrons can be filled in σ3pz orbital.
