Each pollen mother cell i.e. PMC, by a meiotic division, gives the rise to a group of four haploid microspores. With each division, it forms two cells. Then four cells are formed which have a haploid nuclear state. It is known as microspores or pollen grains. So, if 4 pollen is formed from 1 pollen mother cell, then 64 pollen grains will be formed from 14×64 = 16 pollen mother cells.

So the correct option is A.
