The chemical reaction involved in the production of ammonia (NH3) from nitrogen (N2) and hydrogen (H2) is :

N2 (g)+3H2(g) 2NH3(g)

In the given reaction 1 mole of N2 is required to produce 2 moles of NH3.

Hence, to produce 10 moles of NH3 no. of moles of N2 required = 102×1 = 5.

Hence, the correct answer is 5.
