Total number of squares is 18 [ 1 marks]
Now in order to obtain the fraction of shaded portion as 1/2
So, the total number of shaded squares should be 9 [ 1 marks]
Out of which 6 squares are already shaded.
So, the number of squares left to be shaded is 9 - 6 = 3 [ 1 marks]
