The number of nodes in 4p orbitals:

There are seven orbitals in 4p orbitals. These orbitals consist of nodes as well as antinodes. The node has zero possibility of finding electron but antinodes have the highest probability of electrons in an orbital.

Step 1: The number of nodes is related to quantum number where Azimuthal quantum number is equal to angular node.

In 4p, l=1.

Step 2: radialnode= n - l - 1

so, radialnodefor4p=4-1-1=2.

Step 3: The total nodes will be the sum of angular node and radial node.

N=1+2=3.

Thus, Three nodes are present in 4porbitals.
