The given digits are : 1,2,3,4,3,2,1.Out of these 1,3,3,1 are odd digits.The odd digits occupy the odd places ie they occupy the 1st ,3rd,5th and 7th place.4 odd places can be filled with 4 odd digits=4!2!2!=4×3×22×2=6 waysThe three even places to be filled with the even digits 2,4,2.These places can be filled=3!2!1!=3×2!2!=3 waysHence the required number of numbres=6×3=18
