Solution
(a)Ba+2 ions produce yellow ppt with CrO2−4, which is not soluble in CH3COOH. (b)BaCO3 dissolves in CH3COOH and produces Ba+2 ions which gives yellow ppt. with CrO2−4 which is insoluble in CH3COOH (c)SrCO3 is soluble in CH3COOH and produces Sr+2 which reacts with K2CrO4 to furnish a light yellow SrCrO4, which is readily soluble in acid. Hence no ppt is observed in acetic acid.
