Formaldehyde is mor reactive with respect to nucleophilic addition.It has greater positive character of carbonyl carbon due to the partial positive charge on the carbon attached to Oxygen, which attracts the nucleophile.It has alkyl group is a +I group and hence decrease the polarity of C=O.
On the other bulky alkyl groups produce steric hindrance to incoming nucleophile and are less reactive.
