Question
How many radii can a circle have?
Open in App
Solution
Radius is the line drawn from the centre of the circle to any point on the boundary of the circle.
We cannot count the number of points on the boundary line of the circle as there are many.
So there will be many line segments that connect the centre and any point on the boundary of the circle.
Thus, a circle has uncountable number of radii. In other words we can say there are infinite number of radii in a circle.
Infinite number of lines can pass through the centre and join the boundary.
