Solution

Heart walls are known as chambers.

Heart chambers:

  1. The contraction and relaxation of the chambers of the heart regulate the heart's function.
  2. The heart is divided into four chambers: two upper atrium regions and two lower ventricle compartments.
  3. Two major veins supply oxygen-depleted blood to the right atrium.
  4. The superior vena cava is an upper-body vein that transports blood.
  5. The inferior vena cava is a vein in the lower body that returns blood to the heart.
  6. The blood is then pumped to the right ventricle by the right atrium.
  7. The pulmonary artery transports oxygen-depleted blood from the right lower chamber of the heart (ventricle) to the lungs.
  8. The lungs provide oxygen to the blood.
  9. After the lungs have filled the left atrium with oxygen, the pulmonary veins transport blood to it.
  10. Blood is directed to the left ventricle.
  11. Left ventricle is slightly larger than the right ventricle. It circulates oxygen-rich blood throughout your body.
