Question

How many suns exist in the universe?

Open in App
Solution

Our sun is really one big star. And there are billions and billions of stars in our universe. Scientists have also calculated that it’s about 27 million degrees Fahrenheit inside the sun’s core and more than 9,000 degrees Fahrenheit on its surface. There are a lot of stars, but at every moment stars die and new stars ignite. In our own galaxy (the Milky Way) there are at least 300 billion stars. We call stars “Suns” when they are the centre of a planetary system, like how Earth and the other planets orbit our sun.
