Dear student,
These are few systems of irrigation. These are
a. Surface irrigation where water is not pumped through machines but distributed over and across land by gravity.
b. Drip irrigation. It is a form of localized irrigation in which drops of water are poured near the root of plants. In this type of irrigation, evaporation and runoff is minimum.
c. Sprinkle irrigation: Here water is generated by overhead high-pressure sprinklers located centrally in the field or from sprinklers on moving platforms.
d. Center pivot irrigation: Water is generated through sprinklers that rotate on wheeled towers in a circular motion.
e. Manual irrigation: Water is distributed across land by human labour manually using watering cans.
Regards.
