1,56,23,12.....,103
first term of this A.P is a1=1
second term of this A.P is a2=56
last term of A.P an=103
common difference of an A.P is given by
(i.e.,d=an+1an)
putting n=1 in above equation
d=a2a1=56(1)=16
hence common difference for this A.P is d=16
the nth term of an A.P is given by.
an=a1+(n1)d
an=1+(n1)16
an=1+16n16
an=76+16n...eq(1)
for finding number of terms (n) in this A.P, put the last term an=103in eq(1)
103=76+16×n
16×n=103+76
16×n=20+76
n=27
hence in this A.P number of terms are n=27
