How many tiles will Mr.James need to tile his room if length and breadth of one tile are 4 cm and 3 cm respectively to fit in his square room whose one of the sides is 1.44 m .

area of the room = 1.44 * 1.44 = 2.0736 m2 = 20736 cm2

area of 1 tile = 4 * 3 = 12 cm2

total number of tiles needed = area of the room / area of 1 tile = 20736/12
= 1728 tiles
