Calvin cycle need to occur 12 times to produce two molecules of sucrose. To form 1 surplus G3P, 3 carbons are needed which is 3 times Calvin cycle. So, to create 2 G3P for 1 sucrose formation, 6 times calvin cycle are needed. So, for 2 sucrose molecules, 12 times calvin cycle occurs.
