Tissues:
Tissues are groups of cells that have similar structure and that function together as a unit.
There are 4 kinds of tissues - connective tissue, epithelial tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue
Connective tissue holds body parts together and supports other tissues. Examples are bone, blood, and lymph tissues.
Epithelial tissues, like the skin and the linings of the various organs, provide a protective covering.
Muscle tissue are made up of long and striated cells that can expand and contract. It can be striated/voluntary muscles or smooth/involuntary muscles.
Nerve tissue is made up of neurons and is used to carry messages and nerve signals to and from various parts of the body.
