How many types of fractures are seen or known to us?
Three
There are three types of fractures and all of these are based on how the fracture has taken place or the reason behind fracture. We have stress fracture, simple fracture and compound fracture.
The stress fracture results in crushed bones causing the broken bone to be wider or flatter in appearance.
The simple fracture where the bone is broken, but the skin is intact.
The compound fracture where the bone exits and is visible through the skin, or a deep wound that exposes the bone through the skin.
