Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA):

  1. DNA is the genetic material found in various organisms.
  2. It is composed of deoxyribose sugar, nitrogenous bases, and phosphate group.
  3. DNA has four types of nitrogenous bases: adenine(A), guanine(G), thymine(T), and cytosine(C).
  4. The nitrogenous bases are attached together by hydrogen bonds.
  5. Adenine gets attached to thymine with two hydrogen bonds while guanine gets attached to cytosine with three hydrogen bonds.
