We know, 1 km = 1000 m
So, three-quarters of a kilometre = 34 x 1000 m = 750 m
Now,
1.5 km = 1.5 x 1000 m = 1500 m
Add: 1500 - 750 = 750 m
In kilometres, 750 m = 7501000 = 0.75 km
