Question

How much voltage can human tongue take?

Open in App
Solution

The shock you experience does not depend upon voltage, but on the amount of current passing through and how long it is applied. If you have ever touched a van de graff generator your hair would stand straight due to very high voltage, but there is a very small current leaking through them to the atmosphere hence you barely feel the shock, therefore, with this experiment, we can conclude that electric shock doesn't directly depend upon voltage.
