We know,

$g_{earth}=\frac{GM}{R^2}$ where, M = mass of planet (earth)

As moon is lighter than the earth i.e, approx

mass of moon $=\frac{1}{6}$ (mass of earth)

$\Rightarrow g_{moon}=\frac{GM}{R^{2}6}=\frac{g_{earth}}{6}$

Thus, weight of man on moon is

$=m{g}_{moon}=\frac{m{g}_{earth}}{6}=\frac{72}{6}=12N$
