Solution

Dear Student
  • Nucleus is the controlling centre of the cell and plays a central role in cell reproduction, mitosis and meiosis.
  • Nucleus contains the genetic information necessary for reproduction, development and metabolism of the organism as a whole. It distributes the genetic material equally through the process of replication.
  • The DNA of the chromosomes carries hereditary information that is passed on to next generation.
  • Chromosomes are tiny thread-like structures found in the nucleus of a cell. Chromosomes are capable of replication. They store and transmit the coded information which is responsible for all the life processes of an organism.
