Solution

Plant tissue:

  1. Plant tissue is classified into two main groups-Meristematic tissue and permanent tissue.
  2. Permanent tissue is formed by the differentiation of meristematic tissue. The process of taking up a permanent shape, size and specific function is called differentiation.
  3. The tissues that do not undergo division are called permanent tissues. The cells of meristematic tissue are young, immature and incompletely differentiated but have the power of division.
