How Priestley would have conducted the experiment using a candle and a plant?

Part 1: Introduction
Joseph Priestley conducted the bell jar experiment. The aim of this experiment was to prove that plants restore to the air whatever breathing animals and burning candles remove.
Part 2: Experiment
● Case 1: Initially Priestley had placed a burning candle inside an air-tight bell jar.After sometime he observed that the candle flame get extinguished.
● Case 2: Then he placed a mouse within the bell jar. The mouse did not survive and it died.
● Case 3: Next he placed the burning candle, plant and mouse in the same bell jar. The flame did not get extinguished and the mouse survived. Thus this is how Priestely performed the experiment with candle and plant.
