you know that, reproduction is the process by which creatures produce its own individual but in case of smaller organisms like bacteria and unicellular organisms, reproduction simply increase the number of indivisuals, (because as sexual reproduction generally doesn't take place in those organisms) therefore rep. occurs and the offspring number increases, which means rep. is synonymous to growth in those.
