Solution

Filtration process

Filtration is the technique of separating suspended solid matter from a liquid by forcing it to pass through the pores of a filter.

Process of filtration of tea

  1. This filtration procedure is used in everyday life for brewing tea. To make tea, we need to combine tea leaves with hot, boiling milk.
  2. Pour the prepared tea over a tea strainer to separate the used tea leaves.
  3. The wire mesh of the tea strainer serves as a filter. The liquid tea goes through the tea strainer and into the cup below, while the tea leaves remain on the wire mesh of the tea strainer as a residue.
