Solution:
World War I required arms and raw materials, and as a result, many industries were established to meet wartime requirements.
But soon after the War ended, the requirement went down, and many workers were sacked, leading to job unemployment.
Along with this, the political complications caused by the Treaty of Versailles made it worse. In England, the Labour party was defeated in the General elections of 1931. In the USA, the Republican party was rejected by the people in successive elections for about twenty years after the Depression.
