Solution

Stakeholders:

Stakeholders are people who have an interest or concern for valuable assets like forests. Industrialists, local people, forest departments, and wildlife and nature enthusiasts are the four main types of stakeholders for forests.

Industrialists as stakeholders of forests take benefit of forest products in the following ways:

  1. Industrialists consider forests as a rich source of raw materials for the production of paper, furniture, lac, gums, essential oil, sports equipment, and buildings.
  2. Because of their self-interests and huge demands, they extract maximum resources from the forest without caring for the environment.
  3. They cut down enormous amounts of teak and pine trees.
  4. They use enormous amounts of “tendu” leaves to make bidis and tree pulp to make paper.
  5. They simply damage the valuable vegetation-rich forest area to degrade further.
  6. They do not intend to optimum utilization of forest resources.
