The number of Stars are calculated by different techniques , first of all the mass of Galaxy is to be determined and using spectroscopy we determine the wavelength shift when they moves towards or away from Earth,then using Long-slit spectroscopy the the different fingerprint of different stars can be observed ,So in this way Numbers of Stars can be calculated.
