The Hubble Space telescope ,the Cosmic origins Spectrograph which even observe the evolution of new stars, the Near Infrared spectrograph and so many different spectrographs are there which can take the pictures of galaxies and the farthest reachings in space.They observe the wavelength shifts and also record the chemical finger prints of different objects in Planets.
