How to calculate the time taken by an electron to come out of metal surface? explain with an example ?

Actually this is a theoretical question.
Ans : ( 10^−10 s )
Since the photoelectric effect is an instantaneous phenomenon,
so approx. time is of order of
10^−10 s.

As a i mentioned above,this is a theoretical question and don't get confused by thinking the formula for it.whenever the electron get sufficient energy to get out of the metal surface,it will jump out of the metal surface at that instant.
