Converting an Improper fraction into a mixed fraction.

  1. Divide the numerator by denominator
  2. Then write the number as QuotientRemainderDivisor. This is how a mixed fraction is written.
  3. To obtain the fraction back from the mixed fraction, do DividendDivisorwhere Dividend=Quotient×Divisor+Remainder.

Example: Convert 227 into mixed fraction.

Divisor=7

Quotient=3

Remainder=1

Thus, mixed fraction=317
