Question

HOW TO CONVERT VELOCITY-POSTION(V-X)GRAPH TOACCELARATION-POSITION(A-X)GRAPH ? ? ? ? ?

Open in App
Solution

Suppose a particle is moving with initial velocity 'u' and uniform acceleration 'a',
then
a=dv/dt=(dv/dx) x (dx/dt)
=(dv/dx) x v
Thus,
If we are given velocity-position graph, then we can calculate slope dv/dx and then multiplying it with v, we get acceleration.
And we can plot acceleration-position graph accordingly.
