Open in App
Solution

fraction division is very simple
if you know the fraction multiplication.
suppsoe we want to divide a/b with c/d just multiply a/b with d/c
division is defined as multiplying with the recipocal
In case if you dont know the multiplication
just multiply the numbers in the numerator and put it as the numerator of the result and multiply the numbers in the denominators and set it as the denominator of the product

we can see examples of fraction division
5/4 is to be divided by 2/3
then as i said multiply the recipocal of 2/3 ie 3/2 with 5/4
which is 5/4 *3/2=(5*3/2*4)=15/8
13/2 divided by 5/4
13/2 *4/5=13*4/5*2=52/10

ps :recipocal of a number is the number obtained by exchanging its numerator and denominator
eg a/b recipocal is c/d
