Get some graph paper. Draw the XY axes. Then calculate the values for Y whilst progressing the value of X

When X = 1, Y = -1

X = 2, Y = 8-8 = 0

X = 3, Y = 27-12 = 15

X = 4, Y = 64 -16 = 48

Etc - giving a very sharp upward curve :-)

Hint - this also indicates how you should set up the scale before you begin!
