Open in App
Solution

Find the square root of the polynomial

To find the square root of polynomial there are few steps to be followed

  1. In order to find the square root of the polynomial, first arrange the terms with reference to the power of the same numbers.
  2. Then took the square root of the first term of the polynomial for the first term of the root.
  3. Subtract the square from the polynomial
  4. Divide the first term of the remainder by the twice the root found for the next term of root
  5. Add the quotient to the trial divisor and multiply the complete divisor by the second term of the root and subtract the product from the remainder.

For example lets check,

x2-2x+32=x4-4x3+10x2-12x+9

Hence, the square root of polynomial can be calculated by long division method.
