Open in App
Solution

Let px be a polynomial. If pα = 0, then we say that α is the zero of the polynomial.Finding the zeroes of of a polynomial px means solving the equation px = 0Consider a polynomial x2 - 5x + 6.Let px = x2 - 5x + 6Now, zeroes of px are given by solving the equation px = 0Now, px = 0x2 - 5x + 6 = 0x2 - 3x - 2x + 6 = 0xx-3 - 2x-3 = 0x-2x-3 = 0x-2 = 0 and x-3 =0x = 2 and x = 3So, 2 and 3 are the zeroes of px.
