Question

How to know which property to use in multiplication of integers?commutative/distributive/associative?

Open in App
Solution

It would depend on the question.
For example for 2(3+5) it can be done as 2*8 or 2*3+2*5
both equals 16.
Here distributive property is being used.
When situations arise where a property is to be applied it can be identified if the
form of the property is thorough.
It can be seen that distributive property is quite useful while solving problems.
The order of using the property in most cases depends on the question.

Hope this helps :)
