If we want to locate a place on the globe, we have to do the following exercise:
- First, we have to know the latitude and longitude of that place.
- Now, we draw the meridian and the Parallel of Latitude of that place on the basis of its longitude and latitude. For example, Dhubri in Assam is situated at 26∘N latitude and 90∘E longitude.
- The point where the meridian and the Parallel of Latitude intersect themselves will be the location of that place.
